How to Deal With Secondhand Smoke

Introduction

Smoking is so bad for us all, even if we don't smoke. Second hand smoke (they are saying) is worse for us than actually smoking. The best way to deal with second hand smoke is to do your very best to stay away from it. I'm not saying that second hand smoke is worse for us, I'm just going by what we here. Hear are a few ideas on how to deal with second hand smoke.

Things You'll Need

  • Wanting to protect your health.
  • But also the understanding that smoking is an addiction and that the smoker does not mean to hurt anyone.

Cigarette.

When you see someone smoking, just excuse yourself and go find some fresh air until that person has finished the cigarette.

Avoid smoke filled rooms.

Try to avoid being enclosed in a room or vehicle that has cigarette smoke in the air. And if your outside with someone that is smoking, don't stand downwind from the smoke.

Stop smoking signs in your home.

Place stop smoking signs in your home, nothing too offensive, maybe some cartoon ones or something like that. We don't want to hurt the smoker, we just want to try to help.

Don't point fingers at the smoker.

I am a smoker and my husband quit about six years ago. He knows what it feels like to smoke and want to quit, so I'm lucky there. Please don't point your finger and jump all over the person that smokes, they really aren't trying to hurt yo
